COVID-19: TEMOEFA, An NGO, Donates Food Items To 100 Widows To Fight Hunger In Abuja

The hopes of vulnerable widows were, on Saturday, 2nd May 2020, raised as they received the donation of various food items from a non-governmental organization known as The Mighty One Empowerment Foundation (TEMOEFA) in conjunction with its partner, Nigeria-Venezuela Friendship Club at Dutse-Alhaji, Abuja.

The beneficiaries made of up Muslim and Christian widows were in top spirits as they sang in praise of God for the provision.

In a brief message, prior to the distribution of the palliative materials, Prophet Monday Agada, the general overseer of Arena of Faith Deliverance Ministry, Kuchida Across, Ushaffa in Abuja, commended the leadership of the two bodies for helping this category of vulnerable citizens during this period of economic crunch caused by the Corona Virus and for helping them to fight the pandemic and hunger.

He charged the beneficiaries to remain faithful and to put their trust in the unfailing God for sustenance and permanent survival. “Pray for open doors and favours for this new NGO and its young partner so that they can go beyond this second phase of donation and extend this charity gesture to more widows and other categories of vulnerable citizens that are crying for help”, the cleric added.

Speaking at the event, the president of TEMOEFA, Mrs. Joy Ihuoma Inimgba who was represented by Mr. Shedrach Oka, said her organization was led to intervene and provide this token of gifts in order to reduce the suffering and frustration being faced by widows owing to COVID-19.

She explained that her NGO has a raw passion for service to humanity, irrespective of differences in religion, gender, tribe, or culture. We are committed to bringing comfort to the dying needy and empowering vulnerable citizens, without any form of discrimination, adding that TEMOEFA is available to always give back to the society, especially during emergencies as well as during health and humanitarian crises such as we now find ourselves due to the ravaging COVID-19.
