Preparations have been concluded for the successful hosting of the 13th Edition (2023) of the Ogwashi-Uku Awards/Dinner Night scheduled to hold on December 25, 2023, on Christmas Day,just as the Carnival is top-notch.
This was disclosed in Warri in a statement signed by Antonia Oguah, Chief Host of the Carnival. She said that the Carnival would be hosted in Frankbryan Resorts in Ogwashi-Uku Aniocha South Local Government Area near Asaba, adding that the place has an irresistible ambience for such events of class.
According to Oguah, “the decision to shift grounds to allow Frankbryan Resort to host this year’s Awards is because Frankbryan Resort is a beautiful place to be, with an irresistible ambience that has what it takes to host the Rainbow Choice Awards, which promises to be an evening of music, comedy, and relaxation after the dance carnival performance in the day.”
The cream de la creme of Delta State, the sons and daughters of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom, top government functionaries, tourists, and holidaymakers.
The chief host further disclosed that awards would be given on behalf of the sponsors,Ogwashi-Uku Association USA Inc., adding that a total of 15 awards would be given to deserving personalities from Ogwashi-Uku and other states of the federation for their invaluable contributions to the overall development of the community, Delta State, and Nigeria.
She listed some of them, including the Okeowo twin brothers Arch. And Engineer Okeowo, who built the wonderful resort in Ogwashi-Uku; High Chief Iyase Mike Nwaukoni; and High Chief Jude Ozah, the Isagba of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom.
